Peter J. Barnett
Peter
J. Barnett, CCIM has been an active part of the commercial real estate and
property management industry since 1995. He began his career working at an
early age on large multifamily tax credit properties, learning quickly the
various aspects of property management. He then became actively involved in
leasing, management, financial analysis, and maintenance of these properties,
learning first hand the requirements needed to maintain a solid, profitable
investment. Peter joined J.A. Barnett Realty Group, Inc. in 1997, to offer
large scale investment real estate services from a boutique, family owned and
operated firm.
Real Estate Experience:
In addition to first working on large multifamily properties, Peter has served as property manager and regional manager to luxury multifamily projects, as well as various office complexes throughout Florida. He has owned and actively invested in multifamily and office properties in the Tampa Bay area, and has facilitated over 15 million dollars of commercial transactions in that time. Peter has worked with a wide range of investors and companies ranging from first time commercial buyers, to investment groups assembling large commercial portfolios. He specializes in financial and investment analysis of commercial investment real estate, and offers a wide variety of comprehensive services to his clients including but not limited to: Demographic and Market Trend Analysis, in depth Profit & Loss Forecasting, Budgeting, Investor Specific Property Evaluation, Consulting Services, Financial Analysis, Commercial Brokerage, and Property Management.
Education:
Peter obtained his Florida real estate license in 1999, and in 2006 earned the coveted CCIM designation, recognized as the leading designation in the commercial real estate world. The education process for this designation alone amounted to an intense period of hands on and classroom education covering a period of more than 5 weeks. Peter completed several finance related courses at the University of South Florida, and is pursuing an additional AS degree in Finance in his spare time.
